For me, the most valuable aspect of our internship has been the community and the opportunity to learn about different perspectives and aspects of life from within it. Since our weekly meetings, I have become much more grounded in my sense of self, and my confidence has expanded. One memorable experience for me has been the ways we connect with each other at our social gatherings because it is nice to have fun and talk in person with other Black youth.
